Willow sends New Year greetings

Pussy Willow Wong Mei Lin (美林, beautiful forest), who goes by her middle name (for obvious reasons), has a special affinity with animals. Everywhere she goes, birds, squirrels, hedgehogs and the like come to her to tell her about their day and the latest goings-on. As a result, Willow has rescued birds with broken wings, a monitor lizard that was stuck in a pipe and an otter with a hook in its mouth.

On this second day of the new year, Willow is out and about visiting family and friends, eating lots of kueh bangkit and collecting angbaos. This is her favourite time of the year. However, the only snag is that getting into taxis is a bit of a nightmare for her. So she’s rented a jeep for the three days of festivities.
