Ghouls and Ghosties descend on Chip Bee Gardens

It's that time of the year when the thin veil between the underworld and the mundane world ruptures here at Chip Bee Gardens. Accounts of ghouls and wraiths have been circulating wildly.

I have documented some of these spectral phenomena in the hopes of saving some resident souls from eternal damnation. Residents, beware their trickery and shenanigans, arm yourself with knowledge of their ploys to keep you and your loved ones safe.

The Tree of Heinous Hats

I stumbled upon the Tree of Heinous Hats while wandering around the neighbourhood. At first, I believed that it was benign, but unbeknownst to me, invisible witches stood under the hats waiting to suck my life-force so that they could once again become flesh. I was saved from this dastardly fate by a random passerby whose dog had suffered such a fate.

The Crafty Witch

Are you always losing your scissors, pens and other knick-knacks? The crafty witch strikes again. She goes around the neighbourhood pinching crafting materials and supplies and hoards them. She's usually invisible but becomes visible at this time of the year. And she's generally harmless unless you try to regain your lost supplies from her trove, at which time she will stitch you up.

Better just to buy another pair of scissors.

Floating Skulls

As I was walking down Jalan Kelabu Asap, I was assaulted by floating skulls. They snatched at my hair and pulled on my clothes. I was terrified! And the horrible grating sound of gnashing teeth that they made had my head spinning. The only way to get rid of them was to throw anti-shade at them, which I carry around at this time of the year, as I know what mayhem we have to live with as the ghosties and ghouls descend upon us.

The Gate of Forsaken Dolls

I keep wanting to tell this neighbour that there are 2 forlorn dolls haunting their gate. They seem relatively harmless but a cloying and overwhelming sense of creepy sorrow and wretchedness emanates from the gate. I'm sure the post ends up in their driveway because the postperson wants to get away as soon as possible rather than take the time to put the letters in their letterbox.

The Rubber Fig

Hiding amongst the leaves of the rubber fig are spirits that have stolen hats from witches. Keep away from them - they're bad hats!

Save your souls

The only way to appease the spirits is to give them sweets. These chattering, cackling spirits will raid your confectionary stash and leave mayhem and madness in their wake.

You have been warned! Keep your loved ones safe. Throw sweets at the spectres and you will survive their onslaught.
